AFFILIATIONS
Though Hillsboro is an autonomous, independently governed Baptist Church, we have chosen to voluntarily cooperate with over 47,000 other Baptist churches across the USA for the sake of missions and education.
We at Hillsboro aim to glorify Jesus in every realm of this local church's existence. Because of that, Pastor Jimmy D. is committed to pursuing biblical clarity "on nine marks of a healthy church—expositional preaching, gospel doctrine, conversion and evangelism, church membership, church discipline, discipleship and growth, church leadership, prayer, and missions. Why these nine? Because the Bible requires them, and, sadly, too many evangelical churches have neglected or assumed them."

Pastor Jimmy D. affirms the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, The Danvers Statement, The Nashville Statement, the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689), and the Baptist Faith and Message.

Answers in Genesis
To disciple children in the truth of God's Word, we utilize the Answers Bible Curriculum from Answers in Genesis, a "ministry dedicated to enabling Christians to defend their faith and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ effectively."
Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia
On a state-level, Hillsboro has chosen to affiliate and partner with the SBCV, which is committed to "Biblical Truth, Global Missions, Gospel Partnership, Local Churches, and Fervent Prayer."

We desire to cooperate with other churches of like-mind across the Commonwealth of Virginia to fulfill the Great Commission, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. ​​​
The Gospel Coalition
Hillsboro is far from a perfect church. However, we are "deeply committed to renewing our faith in the gospel of Christ and to reforming our ministry practices to conform fully to the Scriptures." The Gospel Coalition aims to help churches do just that, "by providing resources that are trusted and timely, winsome and wise, and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ." Hillsboro utilizes some of TGC's resources for discipleship in Christ.
