Who makes up Hillsboro?

Hillsboro is a multigenerational congregation. Whether you are 2 years old or 82 years old, you are welcome here! Some members have served the church for 50+ years, while others have just moved to the area and are excited about continuing the work God began in 1839.

We are a broken church filled with broken people, all in need of God's grace. No matter who you are or what your background is, you are welcome at Hillsboro.

What is the Sunday service like?

Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:00am. We gather to worship Jesus through congregational singing, prayer, giving tithes and offerings, and hearing and heeding expositional preaching.

Our music has a large variety, including traditional hymns, contemporary worship songs, and occasionally some bluegrass Southern gospel!

Expositional preaching simply means walking through the Bible in a verse-by-verse manner, with the aim of  uncovering the riches of God's Word for our daily lives in 2024.

Children's Programs?

Children are a blessing from God and are more than welcome to be a part of the entire main service! However, after the songs and prayer, children (ages 3-10) are welcome to attend "children's church" to further grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus while parents do the same in the sanctuary.

Nursery services are also provided throughout the entirety of the main service for 0-2 year olds.

Please take a look at our Caring Well Policies and Procedures (click here) for a thorough understanding of how we strive to serve children.

Where is Hillsboro?

Do you livestream the service?

Why should I come to Hillsboro?

You can find Hillsboro at 6406 Hillsboro Lane Crozet, VA  22932. We are right off route 250 with a beautiful view of the mountains behind us!

If you are out of town traveling, at home with sickness, want to share Hillsboro with others, or want to review a sermon, we livestream and record our services for your encouragement.

Having said that, nothing takes the place of gathering with God's people in person, as the Lord created and commanded us to do.

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Our aim at Hillsboro is simple: we strive to Know God's Word, Show God's Love, and Grow God's Kingdom, all for the glory of Christ.

God has given every person different gifts, talents, abilities and passions. Come to Hillsboro not just to receive, but to serve.
